Environment

The work for a better environment and health must take place in many different ways.
A part of the work takes place with support from different laws, for example the environmental code and the food law. However, many environmental problems are connected to questions that are not directly regulated in the legislation and that are instead connected to our way of life, for example choice of means of transport, whether or not we sort our garbage, which consumption pattern we have, and so on.

The Agenda 21-work is an example that you can get result by the use of volunteer work. Therefore, we must all take part in a development that means that the future generation may get a good quality of life.

At the Environment and Planning Office there are six environment inspectors, a manager and an administrator. The inspectors have different areas of responsibility: food protection, environment protection and health protection.
