According to the Local Government Act, the municipality shall have a good economic housekeeping in its operation. In order to secure a good economic housekeeping, Partille´s work is based on five global goals:

• a balanced economy
• an effective use of resources
• a correct economic picture
• a good readiness to pay
• secure future pension payments

The basic values for the municipality are an economic, ecological and social long-term sustainable municipality, from a global point of view. Therefore, the inhabitants of the municipality shall finance their welfare themselves and not spend what future generations have earned, or postpone the payment to future generations.
